Ellis Funk represents our individual and entity clients in a wide array of civil disputes, such as business and professional practice breakups, trade secrets and restrictive covenant matters, contract disputes, defamation and other business tort cases, corporate and shareholder disputes, franchise matters, real estate disputes, employment cases, professional liability matters, insurance matters, trademark and other intellectual property matters, and trust and estate disputes. Such disputes are resolved or adjudicated in numerous forums or through various methods, including litigation in state and federal courts; arbitration; mediation; and direct negotiation and settlements.

Additionally, Robert Dokson, one of the Firm’s principals, regularly serves as a neutral in civil dispute resolution, including service as a mediator, arbitrator and court-appointed Special Master. This area of practice involves both two-party and multi-party disputes. The arbitration area involves service both as a sole arbitrator, as a panel member and as Chair of arbitration panels. The Special Master work under court appointment involves various types of legal issues, including many real estate quiet title disputes.
